The US Lighthouse Society has a continuing series of informative and entertaining podcast interviews on their website regarding US lighthouses, their preservation, and the people who either staffed them or are maintaining them:  Light-hearted Podcasts

Podcast #23 is an interview with Chris Mills, one of the founding members of NSLPS, NS author, radio host and collector of oral Lighthouse history (see our Oral History webpage).  Chris describes his experiences as a lightkeeper on 11 light stations on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Canada between 1989 and 1997 during the period when NS lighthouses became unmanned and automated.

NSLPS would like to thank USLHS and podcast host Jeremy d’Entremont for permission to post these links on the NSLPS website.   If readers know of someone with Canadian lighthouse history who would be a good subject for a podcast, please email name with contact information to NSLPS at ask.us@nslps.com
