Georges Island Lighthouse
The lighthouse is now listed as part of "Halifax Harbour Inner Range" and shows a flashing white light with increased intensity on the line of range. The other range light is on a skeleton tower and exhibits an occulting white light. The fortifications on George's island are currently being restored by Parks Canada, and the island will eventually be opened to the public. The island can be viewed at close range from the Halifax waterfront and is accessible by boat.
